Workin’ Man Blues Guitar Lesson- James Burton Style

video
play-rounded-fill

This is the solo for Merle Haggard’s “Workin’ Man Blues” as played by James Burton. It’s pretty close to what James played, without using the capo. I hope you enjoy it!

I also teach 4 great sounding solos over this progression on my “Working Man Blues Solo Ideas” course, available on DVD, Download, and in the members section. Although one solo is similar to this one, it’s not the same, so you will learn more licks to add to your lick vocabulary. The others are a combination of licks from other great chicken pickers like Brent Mason, Albert Lee, Ray Flacke and others.
