My Pedal Board Setup

This is an old video, and I’ve since changed my pedal around, but don’t we all! I didn’t explain the order of the guitar effect pedals very well, so I’ll give you a general rule of thumb for placing your pedals on your board. Typically, modulation style pedals go inline first from the guitar end. I tend to place my tuner at the start of the chain and then the modulation pedals. Next in line is your compressor, and following that would be your overdrive and distortion type pedals.

Look below the video to see the smaller pedalboard I use these days for all my gigging.

My Pedalboard As Of 2026

Pedal list in order of chain

  • Boss Tuner/Buffer
  • Wampler Ego Compressor
  • Boss Super Shifter – I use this just for occasional dive bombs, so I’m sure I’ll be replacing it!
  • MXR Phase Shifter
  • Greer Amps Light Speed – I love this pedal, it’s on most of the time. Gives me a smooth but gritty overdriven tube sound.
  • Wampler Euphoria – This was the pedal I used before I got the Light Speed, so now I use it for a slight overdive sound.
  • Zendrive – Yet another overdrive pedal! This one is set for more gain. If I need more overdrive I turn on the Euphoria too.
  • Volume Pedal – Here is where I insert my volume pedal
  • Dual Delay Pedal – I got this off from Reverb. It’s a dual anolog pedal. No tempo tap, but I like it.
  • Fender True Verb Pedal – This is a great sounding Vibrato and Reverb pedal that actually sounds like the olf Fender amps.
