Mystery Train
In The Styles Of Vice Gill & James Burton – Length: 1 hr 35 Min
Mystery Train is a rockabilly song, and was originally recorded by Little Junior’s Blue Flames in 1953, written by Junior Parker and producer Sam Phillips. Elvis Presley’s 1955 Sun Records cover is the popular version. In this lesson I teach how to play the guitar licks from a version I learned from watching a video of Vince Gill singing it at one of Eric Clapton’s Cross Road Festivals. He was accompanied by the legends James Burton and Albert Lee. I teach the Burton (because he played the rhythm throughout the song) and Vince parts as well as a guitar solo of my own.
